The President of the Concern Farmers Association Of Ghana, Nana Opambour Oboadie Boateng Boansu II, has refuted claims by some section of Ghanaians alleging on social media and the various Networks that, there is no food in the county is not true .
According to Nana Oboadie, Ghanaians should not panic and live in fear because there is enough foodstuffs to feed Ghanaians for more than three(3) years without even importation of food from any country.
He added that, Concern Farmers Association of Ghana organized tour before the covid-19 cases was recorded and after the lockdown as well, on identification of community challenges in farming communities, we found-out that there is enough maize and soya beans for poultry and human consumption.
CFAG assured that, Ghanaians will continue to enjoy their local foods because farmers have both old stock and new stock of rice, maize and other foodstuffs.
“We the CFAG want to assure Ghanaians once again that, there is food in abundance and we the farmers will continue to feed the nation”. He said.
He disclosed to the press , when CFAG embarked on a tour to various market in the Koforidua Municipality to educate the market women on social distance which including Juaben Serwah mark in Koforidua.
