The Executive Director of the Nigeria Business Forum-Ghana, Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi FIIM, has appealed to the government of Ghana and the Federal Government of Nigerian to lead the way towards a healthy collaboration in trade, investment and growth in the West African Sub-region.
According to him, the Nigeria Business Forum-Ghana welcomes the proposal of a joint Ghana-Nigeria Business Council which he noted will go a long way to address the barriers to trade, business and investment.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanaianvoice.com in Accra, Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi FIIM who is also a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management, Africa and President of the Greater Accra Yoruba Community, indicated that both Ghana and Nigeria should come together and contribute significantly to an enabling business environment critical for private sector competitiveness and sustainable development.
He explained that as West African States there is the need for the two countries to partner to help economic development for the Sub-region since the entire African States are coming together under one umbrella to do business.
Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi FIIM, a Peace Ambassador with vast business mindset added that Ghana and Nigeria must come together to learn how expedite business from each other peacefully and with respect which according to him no one has the monopoly of business knowledge.
He further pointed out that both countries have various mineral resources emphasising that they should begin to plan how to showcase them to the rest of the world saying; Ghana and Nigeria should not always compete with each other but rather collaborate for economic growth.
Touching on the Nigeria Business Forum-Ghana, Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi FIIM stated that the Nigeria Business Forum-Ghana is a registered business advocate with many years of business, trade and investment experiences with professional advisors who are ever ready to collaborate to lead the way into Nigeria market space in Ghana.
He reiterated that Nigeria Business Forum-Ghana annual business conference is another great way of promoting, showcasing and enlightening the public about made in Africa and Nigeria products.
Commenting on recent media publication made by the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong that Nigeria government does not allow foreigners including Ghanaians from establishing businesses in Nigeria, Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi FIIM refuted such allegations saying; Ghanaians are more into real estate, transportation, alcoholic beverages as well as pharmaceutical, electronic media and other businesses in Nigeria.
He further stated that Ghanaians are into spare parts business and restaurants in Nigeria citing Kinapharma as a leading Pharmaceutical Company in Nigeria adding that; Kasepreko, Adonko and Nkatie burger are few Ghanaian brands accepted and patronized in Nigeria.
Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi FIIM stated that Nigeria Business Forum-Ghana is ready to lead any interested business groups and individuals into the Nigerian market without stress.
He noted that there are various products and natural items taking revenue in Nigeria, but is seemingly wasted off here in Ghana. He stressed that there is a need to explore each others territory on friendly grounds and make money for the growth of the region.
