The Frimpong We Royal Stool Family of Asere Traditional Council of the Ga State has cautioned some elements of the Apiakai Family of Abeka sub division to avoid meddling in Nii Boiman Chieftaincy matters.
According to them, the position of Nii Ayi Mensah I, was properly installed as Dzaasetse of Nii Boiman and must be acknowledged as such is the rightful and recognised Dzaasetse of Nii Boiman.
Addressing a press conference in Accra, the Secretary of the Frimpong We Royal Stool Family of Asere Traditional Council, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Nii Ayi Tagoe, reaffirmed the position of Nii Ayi Mensah I, as the rightful and recognised Dzaasetse of Nii Boiman.
He stated that Nii Ayi Mensah I, is a true descendant of Asere stool which according to him, Nii Ayi Mensah’s allegiance is traced to the days of Nii Teiko Ansah.
According to Alhaji Aziz Nii Ayi Tagoe, the great grand fathers of Nii Ayi Mensah I, served and worked for long years with Nii Teiko before his demise.
He further mentioned that Nii Ayi Mensah I, hails from the Maastele family and have their family house located at Bubuashie, a suburb of Accra and has the late Nii Ayi II, Chief of Bubuashie as his biological brother.
Alhaji Aziz Nii Ayi Tagoe, added that the elders of Asere Traditional Council has nominated Nii Ayi Mensah I, as the Dzaasetse for Okaiman, Anahuma Racecourse, Nii Boiman and Tantra Hills and to reports to the Asere Traditional Council.
He therefore implored the general public especially residents of Nii Boiman to recognise NII Ayi Mensah I, as the Dzaasetse of Nii Boiman.
“Nii Ayi Mensah I, is the properly installed Dzaasetse of Nii Boiman and no other person must be acknowledged as such”. He stressed.
In a reaction to claims that he has connive with the the Municipal Chief Executive Office of the Okaikoi Municipal Assembly, Nii Boye Laryea for extorting money from residents for their land documentations, Nii Ayi Mensah I said is a palpable false.
He stated that his long landing role as the public Relations Officer (PRO) of the sports Complex land and the role he plays in an Association of which he’s a founding member thus Nii Boiman land owners Association.
According to Nii Ayi Mensah I, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the 5th day of June, 2018 between the Asere Stool and the Land Commission of Ghana. Details of this MoU according to the him, the whole area was acquired by the government to be used for the construction of sports Complex.
