The New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for the Shai-Osudoku Constituency, Benjamin Nargeh says the National Democratic Congress, NDC, has impoverished the people in the constituency with its dominance since the commencement of multi-party democracy decades back.
According him, though the electorate have given the NDC Member of Parliament enough time since 1992 till date, the party has unfortunately done a little for the people in almost all aspects.
He made the assertion at a youth engagement programme at Dzorpanya in the constituency.
The engagement among other reasons sought to gather the youth who could have been at various events to exhibit immoral lifestyles on Valentine’s day, and above all, to afford them the opportunity to interface with the PC to tell them his intentions for the constituency, if given the nod cone December 7.
It was attended by youth groups from Dodowa, Doryumu, Kordiabe and other communities in the Shai and Osudoku Traditional Areas.
Mr. Nargeh said the NDC has failed the constituency in the areas of education, road network and job creation. The youthful candidate who holds Executive MBA noted that even the little developmental projects dotted across the district were initiated by the NPP administration under former president John Agyekum Kuffour, adding that the NDC has nothing to point to after steering the affairs since 1992.
Mr. Nargeh was elated that the youth have realised that the NDC has nothing to offer them and have decided to effect a change, expressing his optimism to snatch the seat for the NPP in the December 7 polls.
The Shai-Osudoku District Chief Executive, Daniel Akufo who on his part emphasised the initiative of one party member convincing for people to vote for the NPP also sought the occasion to advise the people to get ready and go all out to register in the upcoming nationwide voter registration exercise slated for April 17, 2020 to afford them the opportunity to exercise their franchise in the general elections later this year.
