NCCE Regional Director Commends Ada West District For Displaying Professionalism In Their Work

The Greater Accra Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, Alex Sackey has commended the staff of the Ada West District of the Commission for displaying professionalism, hard work, and commitment in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, their professionalism in discharging civic education delivery in the Ada West District contributed significantly to promoting, sustaining democracy, and inculcating in the citizenry aware of their rights and obligations through civic education.

Mr. Sackey made the assertion when he paid a courtesy call on the Ada West District Coordinating Director, Aaron Otoo in Sege of the Greater Accra region.

The visit was to officially introduce himself to the Ada West District Coordinator and to express appreciation for the Assembly for allocating office space for the NCCE at the Assembly.

The visit also seeks to interact with NCCE staff of the District to garner their support and also to assess the Commission’s activities in the District.

The Greater Accra Regional Director of the NCCE, Mr. Sackey in his opening remarks, lauded personnel for being effective and independent and delivering civic education to residents of the Ada West District despite the challenges they faced in the discharge of their work.

He commended them for their tireless effort in keeping good documentation of the work and entreated staff to carry out their duties with discipline and diligence.

Mr. Sackey urged staff to stand out wherever they find themselves as civic educators adding that they are model citizens whose duties are to teach other citizens how to live with the right civic dispositions and values, hence they must always show the way in terms of good citizenship.

The Regional Director added that though the NCCE is an independent institution saying; without the support of the Assembly, hence urged the NCCE and the Assembly to work together to achieve a common goal.

He also expressed gratitude to the Ada West Coordinating Director and the Assembly as a whole for allocating office space and pleaded for more collaboration with the NCCE to achieve its goals and objectives.

On his part, the Ada West District Coordinating Director, Aaron Otoo, attributed the success of the Assembly to the NCCE saying; “the NCCE is the face of the District Assembly”.

He encouraged the NCCE not to relax on its oars since civic education delivery is crucial to the people in the district by inculcating the awareness of their civic rights and obligations.

Mr. Otoo, therefore, commended the NCCE for their effort in supporting the District Assembly to achieve its objectives and also carrying their mandate as civic educators.

 The Ada West District Director of the NCCE, Samuel Etsey, assured the Regional Director and his entourage of the Ada West District of the NCCE reediness to work with him to achieve the core mandate of the Commission and to be meticulous in their work in the community.

He also expressed their sincere, profound, and heartfelt gratitude to the Regional Director and his entourage for their kind gesture and asked for their prayers for good health and traveling mercies.

The Regional Director was accompanied by his two deputies, Mrs. Joana Nkansah, Deputy Director in charge of Programmes, and Madam Gloria Kudo, Deputy Director in charge of Administration.
