Former President and flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has outlined 16 key initiatives he would implement should he win the 2020 elections.
Amongst them is the appointment of women in decision-making, the introduction of a free health care plan, payment of funds to depositors of the collapsed financial institutions as well as the establishment of a Financial Services Authority.
Mr Mahama, who made this known on Monday during an outdooring of his running mate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman, pledged to change the face of politics in the country “so that no one will be considered less Ghanaian or more Ghanaian than the other on the basis of ownership of a political party card.”
He also described the first term of the Akufo-Addo led administration as one that is full of nepotism, corruption, stagnation, and disenfranchising of Ghanaians.
