KEMLLYS – GH Donates Over Ghc5,000 To Remar Orphanage


KEMLLYS – GH, a Restaurant based at Tema in the Greater Accra Regional has donated items wealth Ghc 5,500.00 to REMAR Tema Orphanage.


The Assistant Manager, Kemllys – Gh, Tiffany Kpornu Dawson indicated it saddens her alot to see children struggle to feed or take care of themselves at their tender age when someone needs to do that for them.

To this effect, Kemllys, ‘Your Cake Boss’ as a responding accolade, deemed it necessary to offer a support to the orphans in the society so they could also catch up with the privileged ones.

The management of Kemllys, Your Cake Boss, thinks it appropriate to donate Items wealth, Ghc 5, 500 to the REMAR orphanage to beef up the learning materials for the children to improve on their learning.

The staff and management of the Kemllys – GH had fun with the children who were happily drumming, singing and dancing together with their supporting visitors.

Mrs. Kpornu Dawson stressed that these less privileged at the Remar orphanage must also feel they have other parents out there who care for them, to this, she appeals to the general public and individuals to also come in with their donation.

The donation which was supposed to be done on Valentine’s Day, came off on Sunday for KEMLLYS could have good time with the kids.

The list of items Kemllys – GH donated to Remar, Tema Orphanage include Milk 410 g 5 trays;Tin Tomatoes 2.2 kg 4 trays; Cooking Oil 3 Cartons; Rice 2 bags; Towels 36 pcs; Bathing Sponge; 10 full pcs; Bathing Soap 2 boxes; Pomade Cocoa Butter 16 pcs; School Bags 30 pcs; Card Board 10 pcs; Exercise Book 5 packs; Maths Set 36 pcs; Note 3 30 pcs; English Dictionary 10 pcs.

Other items were, French Dictionary 5 pcs; Blue pens 2 Boxes; Sharpener 60pcs; Eraser 60pcs; Poster colours (six pack) 5pcs; Set of painting brushes 5 pcs; Ruler Pack of 30; Football (Adult & children) 4 pcs; Football pump 1 pc; Drinks 4 boxes
and 10 bags of sachet water.

The Tema branch of the Remar Orphanage has about 26 children, according to Justice Morrison, assistant CEO and he informed this portal that the mother Remar Orphanage is at Nsawam with branches across the country.

He explained that they have about 3 categories of orphans with the centre, ie. street children, those brought from Social Welfare and the orphans Remar picks.

On behalf of Remar, Tema branch Morrison commended Kemllys – GH, ‘Your Cake Boss’ for their support and the fun they had which made the children felt part of the larger society; he was quick to state that they will need more of such donations and fun with their kids.

He said their challenges include paying of rent, utility bills – light and water bills, and money to pay for the children’s school fees. He added that the children attend a public school close to the orphanage.

He begs the general public and philanthropists and other individuals or organisations to also assist with their ‘widow’s might’ including used cloths and foot wears.

Justice Morrison also disclosed the teachers in the school help in monitoring the movement of the children so they would not go astray.
