Former Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Bugri Naabu has charged Ghanaians to consider the achievements of President AkufoAddo in the last four years and vote for him in the December 7 polls.
He insisted that the programmes and policies implemented by his administration have helped transform the country.
Speaking in an interview with Ghanaianvoice.com in Accra, Mr. Naabu disclosed that under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo, a lot of developmental projects are going on in the north.
He further stated that it will be premature to change the NPP government in the this year’s elections.
Mr. Naabu predicted a 75 percent victory margin for President Akufo-Addo in the December 7 elections.
This prediction, according to him, is based on the remarkable performance of the President with regards to the kind of transformational policies and programmes including the free Senior High School, SHS, programme he has introduced in his first term in office.
Mr. Naabu further indicated that the former President John Dramani Mahama and the rest of the candidates will polled 25 percent in the elections.
“This is based on the peace that we are enjoying in the country, and programme such as the free Senior High school programme,” he added.
He expressed shock and dismay at claims by former President John Dramani Mahama that he started the Free SHS.
Mr. said such false claims by the NDC flagbearer was a clear indication that the NDC campaign was collapsing in confusion.
“When I promised to bring Free SHS, he said it was not possible and that I was lying to Ghanaians for their votes and that it was going to take over two decades before Ghana could implement such a policy,” he stated.
He was hopeful that the NPP will win all the five northern constituencies and urged inhabitants in the north to reject former President Mahama in the elections.
