Highlife musician Kofi B passes away


Highlife musician Kofi Boakye Yiadom, popularly known as Kofi B in showbiz, has passed away.


He died in the wee hours of Sunday, February 2.

He was billed to perform later on Sunday at the 60th birthday anniversary of the Chief of Abeadze Dominase Traditional Area in the Central Region.

He was at his hotel on Saturday night getting ready for the show when a noise was heard from his room.

He was billed to perform at the birthday party of Nana Kweibu Edu V, the First Vice President of the National House of Chiefs, with Kofi Nti.

Narrating the incident on Accra-based Peace FM, Kofi Nti said the deceased musician showed no sign of ill-health.

He said he had to carry him to the hospital, where he recovered until Sunday morning when his condition relapsed.

Kofi B is known for hit songs such as Mmbrowa, Afia Donkor, Bantama Kofi Boakye, Koforidua Flowers, Brenya among others.

He was from Asante Akyem Agogo in the Ashanti Region.
