Hearts of Oak inconsistent results leave them with a point against Elmina Sharks at home

Hearts of Oak shared spoils with Elmina Sharks at the Accra Sports Stadium in their Match Day 12 of the Ghana Premier League fixture.

Kofi Kordzi had to restore parity for Hearts of Oak after Dennis Mensah had given Elmina Sharks the lead in the game.

In a balance encounter that saw free flow of football mostly in the middle of the park, the visitors surprised the homesters with a goal from a deflected corner kick that rebounded to Dennis Mensah inside the box to perfectly volley the ball pass Richard Attah at the near post to give Elmina Sharks the lead on the 25th minutes.

It did not take long for Hearts of Oak to equalize through Kofi Kordzi from a similar case through a corner kick from the left where the well-built striker positioned his header to beat Elmina Sharks’ goalkeeper to level the scoring on the 38th minute.

The first half ended in a pulsating 1-1.

In the second half, both teams displayed somnolence and sluggishness in their play to leave the second half in a boring encounter.

Both teams where tired, so to say, making it difficult for any of them to threat each other a possible winner.

After 90 minutes, it ended 1-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
