Four more coronavirus cases have been detected in the UK this afternoon, taking the total tally to 39.
The increase comes as Boris Johnson called the coronavirus is “a problem” that is “likely to become more significant”.
The Prime Minister added that the country is “very, very well prepared” and said people should continue with their business as usual for the moment.
This morning Mr Johnson chaired an emergency Cobra committee, and Downing Street has said that a UK-wide action plan to tackle Covid-19 had been agreed and will be published tomorrow.
The meeting came as a health worker at a cancer centre in Hertfordshire became one of the new UK cases confirmed.
Worldwide more than 89,000 cases have been reported and the virus has spread to over 60 countries.
