Chereponi District Doing Well In The Area Of Education And Health

The District Chief Executive Officer for the Chereponi District of the North East Region, Hon Abdul-Razak Tahidu has told this portal in an interview that his outfit was trying its best to provide key projects in the District for the benefit of the people of the area.

Under the health sector the Assembly has done some projects which includes the following according to the DCE:

Rehabilitation of the Tombu Chip Compound. Construction of new Chip Compound at Yorgu and the Wenchiki one is to be reawarded as well as the Chereponi Male Ward slated for rewarding .

According to the DCE, the provision of the above projects are meant to support health care delivery in the area and that his outfit intend doing more in that sector for the people.

The education sector is one area that enough effort is being put into as well. Some projects have been executed in that area and included but not limited to the following :

A 3 unit new classroom block has been built at the Rahmania E/A primary School to promote education in the District.

There is also a new 3 unit classroom that has been constructed at Junjung to boast education.

The Chereponi Senior High School has also benefited from the construction of a 7 unit block to help in conducive teaching and learning.

There will be the construction of a 6 unit classroom at Jilma which will be awarded soon and according to Hon Abdul- Razak Tahidu 500 dual desks have been procured and distributed to some schools in the Tatali District.

The view of the DCE is that more projects would have been executed for the good of the people but got thwarted as a result of the ethnic conflicts in the area.

Hon Tahidu used the opportunity to call for peace and unity to attract the needed development to the area.
He added that conflicts and developments were things that could never go together and it was necessary for the people of the District to give permanent peace a chance for the rapid development of the area.

Hon Abdul-Razak Tahidu who is also the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Chereponi constituency praised the government for the very positive interventions in not only his District but in Ghana as a whole and optimistic that this will impact positively on election 2020.
