A. E. A. Keeps Sensitizing Nima Against COVID-19

Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly has up its sensitization programme in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic before it devastate the municipality.

Josephine Gawu, Head of the Health Department, Ayawaso East Assembly said it appears the COVID-19 pandemic wants to stay with the people, therefore the onus lies on the Assembly to keep Sensitizing the people to curb the spread.

In an interview with Ghanaianvoiceonline.com on the sidelines of the exercise last Wednesday at the Nima ECOWAS market, she hinted that people’s attitude towards the fight against COVID-19 especially in the municipality requires constant education.

As part of the education they reminded the market women/men and those who patronize the Nima market to use the face masks at all times, wash their hands and use the hand sanitizers to enable them to fight the pandemic.

The Health Department of the Assembly printed out leaflets which they distributed in the market and any vehicle that plies Nima Highway.

The move which was sanctioned by the Municipal Chief Executive, MCE Hajia Selma Sani-Kuta was expected to continue in the subsequent market days, Wednesday and ordinary days.
